Crooners do it right.
So, the Christmas season is upon us once again, and secretly (okay, maybe not that secretly since it’s now on the interwebs) I’ve always loved the idea of a holiday wedding. And who does Christmas better than Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Bing Crosby? I’ll admit that I am probably the dorkiest and most festive person I know, but at the same time, there is something so lovely about the colors red and green, silver and blue for a wedding. And there’s also something to be said about that classic Christmas sound. I feel like once we hit 1965, any new Christmas songs could halt production. We had all the ones we needed. (And yet R. Kelly just keeps churnin’ them out, every single year.) I adore the orchestral arrangements you find so often in those songs from the 50′s and 60′s, along with the full chorus backing vocals. They just don’t make ‘em like that any more. Here’s one of my favorite holiday tunes, brought to you by two old pros.
