It’s All Green

I recently met a lovely girl named Valerie. She and her beau have truly eclectic music tastes, which is always so exciting. I love working with couples who are as passionate about music as I am. When we started talking about their favorite bands, it was like opening a floodgate. You could tell that they had been really thinking about the perfect music for their wedding, and couldn’t wait to talk about it. I couldn’t wait to listen.

They both like classic rock like Queen and The Doors, and folk artists like Devendra Banhart, Jonathan Richman, and The Mountain Goats. They also listen to hip hop, especially Kid Cudi and A Tribe Called Quest.

Valerie and I spoke of our love of soul, and Al Green instantly entered the conversation. She said she would love to dance to his song “Love and Happiness.” I will be more than happy to oblige.
